Christina Bitar studied Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Canada, graduating in 2016. During her undergraduate degree, Christina worked in Prof. X. Cao’s lab, producing a thesis involving the synthesis and characterization of CdTe quantum dots for multimodal imaging applications.
 
Project Description
 
Christina is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at McGill University, under the supervision of Prof. C. Hoesli. Her research involves optimizing a microchannel emulsification process for pancreatic islet cell encapsulation, as an alternative type 1 diabetes treatment option.
